WHAT IS A SOLAR ROOFTOP?

A grid-connected ROOFTOP solar photovoltaic (PV) system generates electricity from sun using the solar panels mounted on roof of residential, commercial, institutional, or industrial buildings. Depending upon shadow-free area available on the rooftop, a plant of size 1–500 kW may be installed.

  • Central Government – Subsidy to Residential Consumer of 30%/- kWp
  • State Government – Subsidy to Residential Consumer of 10,000/- kWp upto a maximum of 20,000

HOW TO INSTALL SOLAR ROOFTOP SYSTEM?

  1. Apply Online-www.nilelectronics.com
  2. Nil Solar will contact you and after site survey suggest requirement of system for you.
  3. After collecting all necessary document for system, registration will be started.
  4. Nil Solar will collect the balance cost payable by beneficiary after deducting subsidy payable by GEDA/MNRE.
  5. Nil Solar will obtain “No Objection Certificate” from concerned DISCOM/chief electrical inspector.
  6. Nil Solar will install and commission the SPV Plant
  7. Applicant has to execute connectivity agreement with Discom and give the application for net meter.
  8. Discom will install the net meter.
  9. Nil Solar will provide 5 year comprehensive maintenance contract (CMC) to beneficiary as per terms & condition..
